I have an 8 year old dun Quarter Horse mare named Tigger, that I bought at an auction last year. After riding her a couple times, I realized she hadn't been handled much and was fairly green. I wanted to work with her, but did not have the time, or knowledge to properly train her.
I came across Blair's website on Craigs List and after talking to her, decided to give her a shot. She took Tigger for about 45 days, and I am happy to say that when Tigger came home, she was a completely different horse.
Tigger had a few issues I had asked Blair to work on. Tigger was pretty nervous and spooky, wouldn't pick her back feet up for anyone, and I also wanted her to be more fluid with her neck reining and leg cues.
A few days after being with Blair, Blair called me to tell me she had trimmed Tigger's feet (including her back feet)!! I was shocked, as up to this point, I had 2 farriers refuse to trim Tigger's back feet. I was more than thrilled to hear that she was able get her back feet done.
When I got Tigger home, she was a new horse. She is no longer spooky or nervous, has excellent ground manners and she is awesome to ride. She stands perfectly still when I get on, and stays that way until I ask her to do something. She is neck reining really nicely, and keeps a nice steady pace at a trot and lope. I can also pick up all four feet with just a couple light taps on her leg.
I'm VERY proud of the work Blair has done with her and would recommend her to anyone!!

Nilla is a 3-4 year old grade palomino gelding. He came to me after suffering serious neglect and was suffering from malnutrition. After giving him a couple months to gain weight and get healthy, I asked Blair to work with him. Nilla needed a lot of attention. He was nervous all the time, scared of people, and he kicked at everything (including my sister-in-law's dog the day we brought him home).

Blair asked me specifically what I wanted to achieve during Nilla's training. My goals where to get him over his nervousness, pick his feet up without getting kicked, and to get him comfortable being ridden. She accomplished all of these goals in less than 30 days. What's more are the extras that Nilla picked up along the way. He is so easy to catch and he loves attention, and he loads and unloads like a pro. He is a totally different horse with a new lease on life.

I never saw Blair loose her patience while working with my stubborn horse. She tailored her schedule around how the horse was doing and always made sure she left off on a good note. Her attention to the details of my horse's personality are what, in my opinion, makes her a great trainer.

Aside from the horse, Blair is responsible and dependable. She always does what she says she is going to do and she shows up when she says she will. I was looking for these traits in a trainer and I was so pleased to find Blair--she is trustworthy and consistent. I highly recommend Five Point Horse Training!

My name is Deb Merkle and I own a nine year old quarter horse name Fiona. I adopted her as a six month old from the Aurora shelter. I did ground work with her for 4 years when I met Blair. I had impounded her dog for running loose in town. I had seen her truck in town with her advertisement on the door and once I met her and her dog I knew she was the one to break my mare. She took her home and soon found out no one had been on her back. Not that she acted out, she just didn't know anything. Blair had her for less than 30 days when she got so depressed she had to come home. Blair finished her training at my house. She continues to come take her for new experiences and to work her at different levels. I need her bomb proof for my grand kids and blair is willing to do that. I trust her explicitly with any horse I own. Recently blair placed one of her horses at my house to keep my Fiona company. Telulah has adjusted well and has bonded with my mare and family nicely. Thank you Blair for everything you do!

This is an amazing group of trainers. We owned a horse that wasn’t in the best of moods and was acting out. We weren’t the right fit for our boy so we decided it would best to find him a home that was best fit for him. She then found us a horse that is fit for our lifestyle, she trained him, he is kid friendly that I can ride as well. We are so very pleased with our decision. We will be having her train our other horse and our colt as soon as he is ready. Highly recommend them.

I had known for a while that my 10-year old AQHA mare was bored and unhappy, and was acting out to show her displeasure. At shows, she was sometimes spooky and other times just not focused. I had also bought a trailer that she would not load into. A reboot vacation was needed because I want a happy horse and I felt certain that we both needed a little time apart to grow. I have known Blair for about 5 years and felt confident that she could provide what my horse needed, and also help me understand how I could improve my bond and communication with April. I had no hesitation sending my horse to Five Point Horse Training for a 60-day training session.

After the initial bit of acclimation to each other, I could quickly see based on the videos posted of my horse's training and my conversations with Blair, that she looked to Blair as the leader and was feeling good about herself. April looks forward to working every day and is alert and respectful, while still enjoying herself. Friends that have been out to Five Point while my horse has been there have told me that April looks happy and content, which makes me happy.

Based on the liberty training being given to April, Blair suggested I start working on my leadership by watching videos of the training style. What an enlightenment! I am truly embracing the liberty training and looking forward to working and strengthening the bond with my horse.

Blair is an awesome trainer and I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to be a friend and client and to learn from her. I highly recommend Blair and Five Point Horse Training and feel confident that she will give 100% effort to each clients' needs.
